L’Institut pour la politique agricole et commerciale (Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy) a été fondé en 1986. L’IATP a pour mission de contribuer à préserver les exploitations familiales, les communautés rurales et les écosystèmes dans le monde entier par la recherche et l’éducation, la science et la technologie, et le plaidoyer. L’IATP cherche à rendre le système multilatéral plus démocratique. Il renforce la société civile en mettant en contact les mouvements sociaux travaillant sur le commerce, le développement, la paix, les droits de l’homme, les conditions de travail, les questions de genre, l’environnement et la responsabilité des entreprises. L’IATP est basé aux Etats-Unis, et a un bureau à Genève, en charge du Projet d’Information sur le Commerce.

Two years have gone by since Aid for Trade was launched at the WTO. Pascal Lamy has just completed the first Global Aid for Trade Review. The picture does not look good.
