El Instituto de El Instituto de Políticas Agrícolas y Comerciales (IATP en sus siglas inglesas) fue fundado en 1986. IATP tiene como misión la promoción de granjas familiares, comunidades rurales y ecosistemas resilientes en todo el mundo a través de la investigación y la educación, la ciencia y la tecnología, y la abogacía. IATP trabaja para democratizar el sistema multilateral de la formulación de políticas. Fortalecemos la sociedad civil mediante la vinculación entre los movimientos sociales que trabajan en la temática del comercio, del desarrollo, de la paz, de los derechos humanos, del trabajo, del género, del medio ambiente y de la responsabilidad empresarial. IATP tiene su sede en los EE.UU., y una oficina en Ginebra, Suiza en la cual está ubicada las actividades del Proyecto de Información de Políticas Comerciales (TIP en sus siglas inglesas).
